How to Select a Bow

Each bow has varying features you can learn about below:

The purchase of each bow includes a string and, for all adult bows, a bow sock. 
Spare strings also available for purchase.

MONGOLIAN

BOWS

Fast and powerful, ideal for target, hunting or mounted archery. 

The ancient Mongols developed this style with its distinctive bridge on which the string rests. The string gets a little extra "pop" when it naps against the bridge, translating into higher arrow velocity and power.

MAGYAR

BOWS

Smooth draw, ideal for target, hunting, or mounted archery.

The Magyar bow is best noted for its smooth draw and extremely smooth release and beautiful craftsmanship. Its less bent limbs produce less string to bow shock, allowing the shooter to maintain consistent marksmanship. Also ideal for archers with a long draw.

TATAR BOWS

Sleek and fast with a smooth release. Ideal for target and mounted archery.

Comparable to the Mongolian's speed, the Tatar has a smooth draw and unique tip (syha) design.  A favorite among horse archers.

 

*NOTE: limited draw length. NOT recommended  for archers with draw longer than 29 inches.

HUN BOWS

Very powerful, ideal for the larger archer with a longer draw length.

Designed for the larger archer, the Hun's draw length reaches 30-32 inches. Each bow is given a weight at 28 inches, however the weight at longer draws will generally increase about 5 pounds per inch (over 28 inches).

AVAR BOWS

Smooth release for a longer draw and unique grip design.

Also designed for the larger archer, the Avar's draw length easily reaches 32 inches and beyond. It also has a unique grip design: While most Toth bows have a concave shape, the AVAR has a convex shape that fits nicely in the hand.

The Scythian Adult bow is perfect for people who want a basic bow with a adult-sized draw length but low draw weight.
